Upcoming Val’s PALs Mentor Training
What: Val’s PALs Mentor Training
When: Monday, March 31, 2025 | 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM (EDT)
Where: Via Zoom (Zoom link will be emailed the morning of the training)
Join us for our next Val’s PALs Mentor Training session! This is the first step to becoming a mentor and making a lasting impact on the life of a grieving child or teen.
After completing the Zoom training, a meet & greet with Valerie’s House staff will be scheduled. Once the meet & greet, background check, and reference checks are completed, we’ll begin the process of finding the right mentee match so you can begin your first outing together.
Mentor Commitment:
One-year commitment, with hopes of a long-term connection
Minimum of 4 hours per month, including in-person meetups, social media interaction, and phone calls
Requirements:
Completed application
Background check
Ongoing training
Monthly communication with Valerie’s House staff

Some of our grieving children are missing a role model due to their loss. Val's PALs fills that void for them. PALs stands for “Positive Adult Leadership.”
Val’s PALs: Our Val’s PALs mentors are caring adults who invest their time and energy to nurture and positively impact a young person. No specialized degree or job skill set is required.
Commitment:
One-year commitment
A minimum of meeting 4 hours per month, including face-to-face interaction, (within the comfort level of both mentor and mentee and CDC Guidelines), social media, and phone.
